Simply put, the whole weekend was a veritable walk in the park compared to some we've experienced recently.
We left on Friday, not from the London airport closest to me, but the other one.
Traffic was OK and there were no hassles, cows or delays getting there.
The flight left on time.
We arrived about 7:30pm, having gained an hour.
There was an hour's drive to the hotel.
When we arrived the promoter had arranged for all of us to have a meal together.
And we did.
It was a fairly early night, a leisurely day the next day and a civil leave
for the gig pon Saturday.
We were 30 minutes from the festiival site.
When we got there we noticed that the tour posters and event t-shirts listed us at the top of the list and realized that we were headlining the bill.
It ws a sunny day.kK
There were 5000 people in attendance
The show was fun.
The crowd was responsive and wildly enthusiastic with a penchant for singing.
After the show there was more food ready for us.
A short hop back to the hotel, which, I must add was more than OK and our time was ow own.
I think some of the band might have gone down for adrink and I intended to join them.
But once i settled on to the bed to check some email, etc, i soon knew I was going nowhere.
There was an 8am leave the next morning but the flight was on time and it got us back to the airport in London about noon, giving us back the hour we'd borrowed in Denmark
All in all, it was a relatively stress-free weekend with a wonderful show stuck in the middle.
When it's right, it's right. ~ __________________
